By September 30, 2013, China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) had received 4,703 requests under the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH), including 3,632 regular PPH requests and 1,071 PCT-PPH requests. Applicants from Japan and the United States accounted for the majority. The following charts show the participating countries, applicant-country distribution, request volumes and technical fields as of that date.
