Up to the end of August, 2021, the number of patent agencies in China has reached 3,746. At the end of 2021, the number of practicing patent attorneys in China has reached 26,000.
In April 2022, All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA) formulated the Action Plan for Promoting Highquality Development of Patent Agency Industry(2022-2025). It is pointed out that the high-quality development of the patent agency industry will continue to be accelerated, and the expected indicators for 2025 are given, of which the number of practicing patent attorneys in China is expected to reach 40,000 in 2025.
