Most Chinese enterprises increased their PCT filings in 2016. ZTE ranked first with 4,123 applications, up 91.3% from 2015. Its related companies Zhongxing Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and Nubia Technology Co., Ltd. ranked 15th and 18th, respectively. Filings by Xiaomi, the mobile phone manufacturer, increased by 136.51%. Yulong Computer Communication Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., the Coolpad manufacturer, increased its filings by 260.56%. Filings by SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd., which focuses on unmanned aerial vehicles, grew by 228.33%.
