Sullivan, a consulting institution, issued the White Paper on China AI Technology Transformation of Enterprise Services (2023). The report pointed out that in 2022, the market scale of AI industry in China reached 371.6 billion yuan, and it is expected to reach 1.573 trillion yuan in 2027. Among them, the enterprise-level AI market in China reached 285.3 billion yuan, accounting for about 77% of the overall AI market in China.
The published Ranking list of China AI invention patent enterprises (TOP50) is based on keywords and classification numbers related to AI technology, and counts the AI invention patents filed and published in China from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2024.
The list shows that Tencent ranked first with 15,626 invention patents; Baidu ranked second with 13,723 invention patents; PingAn Group ranked third with 13,139 invention patents. State Grid, Huawei, Ant Group, Alibaba, Jingdong Group, OPPO, China Mobile ranked fourth to tenth respectively.
AI mobile phones are the third stage of the mobile phone industry after feature phones and smart phones, and also an important position to promote the development of new quality productivity in the mobile phone industry. OPPO is the only company in the TOP10 enterprises with smart phones as its core business. By March 31, 2024, OPPO had filed 5,399 global patents in the AI field, mainly in image processing, computer vision, voice technology, natural language processing, and machine learning etc.
