The number of practicing patent attorneys in China reaches 34,396, and more than 76,230 people have obtained patent attorney qualification. As of 2023, the number of practicing patent attorneys in Beijing reaches 12,128, accounting for 35.2% of the total. In addition, the CNIPA has over 18,000 patent examiners and trademark examiners.

In the past decade, the number of people who obtained patent attorney qualification in China has grown rapidly. Among them, the number of people who obtained patent attorney qualification in 2023 was 76,000, an increase of 2.44 times compared with 2014. The number of practicing patent attorneys has also grown rapidly. In 2023, there were 34,000 practicing patent attorneys in China, an increase of 2.25 times compared with 2014.
