The Interim Measures for Publishing Supreme People’s Court Judgment Documents Online were approved and took effect in July 2013. The first batch of judgment documents has since been published.
Under the measures, unless the law provides otherwise, the Supreme People’s Court’s judgments, orders and decisions are to be published on its official website, www.court.gov.cn/zgcpwsw.
Before publication, personal information and other material unsuitable for disclosure must be technically processed. If a party requests non-publication because a case involves personal privacy or trade secrets, the department handling the case must examine the reasons. It may decide not to publish if the reasons are justified and no public interest is involved.
