The average number of cases accepted by judges was 140.4. Among the civil second-instance substantive cases, the number of the utility model patent infringement cases was the largest. Among administrative second-instance substantive cases, the number of patent invalidation was the largest. The number of civil cases of invention patent infringement is 687 and the number of administrative cases of invention patent invalidation is 365 The annual report pointed out that, in 2023, among the intellectual property cases heard by the court, the maintenance rate of civil substantive cases of second-instance was 35.1%, the mediation and withdrawal rate was 37.8%, and the retrial rate was 26%. And, the maintenance rate of administrative substantive cases of second-instance was higher, reaching 81.2%, the mediation and withdrawal rate was 9.4%, and the retrial rate was 9.3 %.
In 2023, the court received 421 new foreign-related cases, accounting for 8.3% of all new cases.
